Following extensive campaigning since she was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Hornchurch & Upminster in 2017, Julia Lopez campaigned to replace the previous Gallows Corner flyover. Without the replacement works, the flyover could have closed in 2025.
Julia was successful in persuading the Government, TfL and the Mayor of London to replace the flyover, with work starting in summer 2025.
During the works, Julia has been holding TfL, Essex & Suffolk Water and the Mayor of London to account on behalf of local residents and keeping them updated.
