Recently, Julia visited junction 28 of the m25, to see progress on the redevelopment of the junction. She commented:
"Gallows Corner has become a nightmare of delays and poor communication from TfL, with no clear end date in sight and silence from the mayor.
In contrast, Junction 28 of the M25 seems a much better example of what proper planning and delivery can achieve.
The project is due to finish this autumn and will deliver a new road layout and junction that sees safety improved, traffic eased and the environment boosted – thousands of new trees will be planted over winter and balancing ponds have been dug to reduce flooding risk down river in residential parts of the constituency. I am also pleased to see a formal memorial to 21 year-old Flight Sgt Frederick William Boxall, an RAF Hornchurch pilot who died in May 1937 at the site when his aircraft failed.
Here’s a look at my recent visit to see the progress first-hand."
