I received a warm welcome this morning at the St Thomas Jacobite Church on Taunton Road, Harold Hill, which I visited to get to know members of this new and growing congregation. The building used to be occupied by the local Baptist Church who have now moved to a shared site in Harold Hill, and was sold to the JSO church who moved in last October.
I discussed with members of the congregation the history of the church, which stemmed from the movement of the early Syriac church to Kerala, and the work local churchgoers wish to undertake in the local community, particularly in healthcare.
