I have been contacted by the educational charity, Inspire Schools, advising of the London Teacher of the Year Awards which recognises the dedication of outstanding teachers and non-teaching school staff.
There is a broad section of awards available, ensuring that there is an opportunity to recognise anyone with a lasting impact within your school. Awards are available for primary, secondary, further education, newly qualified teachers, support staff, volunteers and teams, and in different subjects and categories such as raising aspiration and careers-fair organiser.
Winners will be announced locally, for Havering and each of London’s other boroughs, as well as for the city as a whole.
The awards ceremony will take place in mid-June at the Royal Aeronautical Society’s premises in Mayfair and, with additional seats available to purchase on a paid basis, will have a fundraising element. The proceeds raised from the London Teacher of the Year Awards will go to a literacy and road safety projects in London.
