* Postcode districts can include a large number of postcodes (a postcode district is denoted by the first half of a full postcode i.e. SW1A in SW1A 0AA). We send alerts for all constituencies that contain at least one postcode in a postcode district where an alert has triggered. However, because postcodes cut across constituency boundaries it is possible our table above lists a postcode district(s) the vast majority of which is in a neighbouring constituency. The online mapping site Doogle lists postcodes by Parliamentary constituency.
Cold Weather Payments are made to recipients of selected benefits. To “trigger” the payments the average temperature at a specified weather station must be recorded as, or forecast to be, 0°C or below for seven consecutive days. Our Cold Weather Payments research briefing (last updated for 2016/17) provides background policy information. DWP’s Cold Weather Payment pages provide further information for claimants.
The alert was triggered on the 2/3/2018 for the period 23/2/2018 to 1/3/2018.
£25 will be paid to eligible residents within Hornchurch and Upminster constituency living in the Postcode district(s) listed above.
