Ockendon Road, between Manor Farm Shop and the Cranham Place bus stops, will be subject to temporary lane closures from Monday 18 May until Friday 29 May.
The closures, which will be operational between 9.30am and 3pm, are to allow for Highways England to commence trial hole and survey works in the area in order to understand the locations of existing underground utilities along and near to the proposed route of the Lower Thames Crossing. Ockendon Road will remain open throughout this period, although due to lane closures, residents may be asked to wait a short time at temporary traffic lights. Access to properties will be maintained.
Workmen on site will be adhering to the Government's Covid-19 and social distancing guidance.
A copy of the letter Highways England has distributed to those in the immediate area can be found at the bottom of this webpage.
