Yesterday I contributed to a debate tabled by Ilford North MP, Wes Streeting, about the taxi trade. Unfortunately I was unable to stay for the whole debate as I had a meeting with the Speaker, however I made the intervention below about safety and regulatory problems related to rickshaws.
In light of the concerns residents have about a spate of motorcycle crimes, particularly in Hornchurch, I asked the Leader of the House of Commons whether we might have a debate on whether police have all the powers they need to tackle such crime.
